LASIK eye surgery can be a wonderful way to correct vision problems, however you should be aware that there are certain limitations associated with surgery.  Not everyone who wants to have LASIK surgery is actually a candidate.  There are conditions that will prevent someone from getting  surgery and this should be discussed with surgeon.

To begin with, age can be a limiting factor to getting LASIK. Also most children under 18 years of age cannot have LASIK surgery because the eyes are still in a developmental phase, and the eyes will continue to change until fully mature.   As there are several different approaches to LASIK surgery, you should be aware that some will not be used on patients under 21.
